Greetings oberunners,

Thank you all for your patience and understanding in these uncertain times. We were really hoping that some things would start to open up and we would be allowed to have smaller gatherings by the end of June, but it is not looking that way. We stalled registration in hopes to keep Oberun a smaller party this year to keep the show going but with no guidelines on dates when we can safely kick back together we must move on to other options.

We want you all to have the opportunity to keep the good times rollin'! The 2020 Oberun will be going virtual and you will still be getting some of the sweet swag!. That means that anyone who was previously registered will be transferred to the virtual event. We will be mailing out your  shirt and medal in mid-July. You will be e-mailed a website to enter in your 5K time and a link to a Facebook group to celebrate with others from June 20 - June 26! Obviously not required, but we encourage you to have a 6 pack of Oberon on hands for this week! We will be throwing some contest and fun your way! You can start practicing balancing a can on your head now.....just sayin'.... Although we can't gather at this time we can all raise a glass and cheers to the future when we can meet again.

We will be opening up the Virtual event to anyone else who had not had the chance to sign up. This option will be available through June 19. Oberun and its participants have helped raise over $26,000 for Karen's Trail the past 3 years and it's such a feel good event. We will miss their crew slinging the beer to the participants after they cross the finish line! We are happy to keep them involved in the virtual event and still be able to donate something during this pandemic.

We hope you are excited to join along!

You have some options regarding your 2020 entry:

If you received an e-mail you will automatically be transferred to the virtual event and receive a follow up e-mail welcoming you to the virtual event and further instructions mid-June.

If you would like to defer your entry to 2021 you can choose to roll over your entire Oberun registration over to 2021. You must roll over by June 19. We will do everything in our power to have a secured date by then, we are working on it daily!

If you are continuing on with the 2020 virtual run and had ordered food, those purchases will be refunded, if you would prefer to roll over your food money to a donation to Karen's Trail we are also offering this option. You must do this by June 19.

You have a 4th option... To donate your entry money to RF Events to help us keep the lights on as we work to shuffle ahead and survive, so we can be here for the future and create quality events that let you meet your goals and put your hard training to use.

If you would like to defer your entry, donate your food money, or donate your entry please make those changes HERE. If you want to participate virtually no other action is required of you.

We are trying to make the best of this situation and hope you understand. We will party again one day!

Stay safe out there,
The Oberun Crew

F.A.Q:

Why can't you postpone? - With no foreseeable future date to gather, we felt for an event this large it wasn't worth the risk of rescheduling for a date we are uncertain that would even happen or not.

Why can't you offer a full refund? - We know what a delicate subject money is at this time, and we are attempting to be as transparent as possible in regards to why we are unable to offer a refund. A large majority of the planning and man hours go into the event well before race day; we spend a large portion of the projected income in setting up the event prior to registration opening, When our world was turned upside down from COVID-19, entry money came to a standstill. We are unable to provide a refund because the money is simply not there.

If you would like to discuss this with us further we are here for you and available to talk at info@rfevents.com.
